Enjoy the Little Things

Enjoy the little things because one day they’ll be the big things.

When we recall our happy moments of the past it’s often the comments, the touches, the glances so brief that we exchanged with our loved ones that later bring us the deepest joy.

As we were raising our children and grandchildren I took loads of pictures. My husband sometimes became impatient with all the picture-taking, but those passing moments captured in time are priceless.

I used 12 pictures from the tens of thousands of shots from over 40 years and created the following Mother’s Day greeting over at Animoto.

The first one is my mom (now deceased) on the day I picked her up in a limo from her senior apartment as we went out to a Mother’s Day Brunch. It was a huge surprise for her. Thankfully I thought to have a photographer hiding in the bushes to capture her reaction when she realized that the limo was there for her. It was the happiest I had seen her.
